Canadian Customs Audit

Trade compliance is mandatory within Canada, and it refers to the rules and regulations importers and exporters must adhere to, to move commercial goods in and out of Canada. The responsibility of compliance is shifted to the importer & exporter of the goods where they are required to report accurate information about their shipments to the Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA).

Canada Prohibits Single-Use Plastics (SUPs)

The Single-use Plastics Prohibition Regulations, published on June 22, 2022, will ban the manufacture, import, and sale of SUPs. However, manufacture and import for the purposes of export will be exempt from the regulation.

CBSA Trade Verification List 2023

The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) conducts examinations on specific products in January and July to verify their proper classification under the tariff classification code.
